Stephanie Cutter: Giuliani Should Consider Palin Endorsement Before Attacking Biden

Obama deputy campaign manager Stephanie Cutter whacked Rudy Giuliani this morning after the former New York City mayor questioned Vice President Joe Biden's "mental capacity" to be president. Cutter invoked Giuliani's endorsement of Sarah Palin during the 2008 presidential race in which she ran as Sen. John McCain's running mate on the GOP ticket.

"I would like to point back to his glowing introduction of Sarah Palin during the 2008 Convention," Cutter said. "So if he wants to criticize the capacity of the vice president to take hold of this country, he should go back and look at those remarks and whether he still believes that there true."

Cutter's remarks came after I asked her about Giuliani's comments Tuesday that Biden isn't "bright" on CNBC.

"I mean, there's a real fear if, God forbid, he ever had to be entrusted with the presidency, whether he really has the mental capacity to handle it," Giuliani said.

Giuliani was responding to comments that Biden made to an audience that included African Americans in Virginia as he discussed the GOP effort to repeal Wall Street regulations or "un-chain" financial institutions. Biden then said "they're going to put y'all back in chains."
