Sarah Palin Ditched By Fox News, Interviews Cancelled During RNC
Sarah Palin isnt receiving the type of love from Fox News she came to expect during the 2008 Republican National Convention. The former TV star and John McCains presidential running mate revaeled on Wednesday that Fox News cut her out of the RNC interview cycle.
On her Facebook page, the only media outlet she has at the moment, Palin wrote:
Im sorry Fox canceled all my scheduled interviews tonight because I sure wanted to take the opportunity on the air to highlight Senator John McCains positive contributions to America, to honor him, and to reflect on what a biased media unfairly put him through four years ago tonight. Granted, our honored and esteemed war hero has gone through much more than the liberal media can ever do to him in their efforts to harm this patriot. I look forward to hearing his words to his fellow Americans tonight more than any of the other convention speeches. God bless John McCain. Thank you for everything. And happy birthday, my friend.
Palin regularly appears on Fox News as a correspondent and political pundit.
Shortly after Sarah Palin made her statementMediaitereported the following Fox News response:
Our plans changed based on the fact that the RNC condensed the schedule of speeches from four nights to three. We look forward to having Governor Palin back as soon as we can.
Perhaps Fox News ditched Governor Palin because the right wing news agency didnt want to showcase a politician who quit their job mid-term to pursue a TV career, an image that doesnt really fit with the every man position the GOP has tried to maintain as their $250 million candidate runs for office.
While Sarah Palin did not appear on Fox News another type of Palin did show up at the GOP, a look-a-like Palin stripper who entertained the conventions men.
