Russell Brand draws ire with 'People want to f*** Sarah Palin' remark
The 37-year-old comedian made the comment about former Alaska governor while promoting his FX Show 'Brand X With Russell Brand' at the Television Critics Association on Saturday.
"I'd go straight to the subtext. People want to f*** her don't they? That's why they tolerate the other stuff," the Daily Mail quoted him as saying.
"OK, that is a mad thing to say about seeing Russia out your window - but the d**k don't lie," he said.
Sandra Fluke, the Georgetown student who had been branded a slut by Rush Limbaugh, came to Palin's defense and tweeted: "Completely unacceptable remark re Sarah Palin.
"Female politicians deserve to be judged on merits of their ideas only," she wrote.
This is not the first time the funnyman has taken aim at Palin.
According to the Huffington Post, while he was hosting the MTV Video Music Awards in 2008, he said that the network cut a joke from the telecast which involved then-pregnant Bristol Palin. (ANI)
