Briston Palin to star in new reality television show

Bristol Palin, the daughter of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, will star in a new reality TV show about her life as a single mother in Alaska.

The series, titled "Bristol Palin: Life's a Tripp," will air on Lifetime.

The show will give viewers "never-before-granted access to Bristol's real-life experiences growing into womanhood," a Lifetime press release said.

The show will "reveal how she adjusts to her life in Alaska, where daily she faces the many pressures of raising her toddler son Tripp alone and maintains the close relationship she holds with her parents, former Alaska Governor and Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin and Todd, and siblings," it continued.

Bristol Palin, the daughter of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, will star in a new reality TV show about her life as a single mother in Alaska.

The show is still in production, according to Politico.

Late last year, the BIO Channel scrapped a reality show based on Bristol's life before it had the chance to air.

But Palin is not a newcomer to television -- she also participated in the 2010 season of "Dancing with the Stars."

Palin, now 21, gave birth to her son Tripp in December 2008 -- shortly after President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden beat out the Republican ticket of John McCain and Sarah Palin.
