Report: Sarah Palin cost Fox News Channel nearly $16 per word over run of contract
Sarah Palin cost Fox News Channel nearly $16 a word during her three-year contract, according to a report from the University of Minnesota.
Palin uttered 189,221words over 150 appearances on various FNC telecasts during her now-expired contract; word broke out late last week the cable network would not renew its pact with the former GOP vice presidential candidate.
That averages out to about $15.85 per word, according to the report issued by the universitys Humphrey School of Public Affairs the morning after Julianne Moore won the Screen Actors Guild Award for portraying Palin in the HBO teleflick Game Change. Two weeks earlier Moore won a Golden Globe Award for playing Palin and shed won an Emmy for same in September.
FYI, in addition to her 150 appearances on FNC, Palin appeared on ABCs Dancing with the Stars five times during her daughters most recent run on the show; also during the r! un of her FNC contract, Mama Bear also appeared often on Dancing when Bristol was a celeb competitor in the fall of 2010 that edition making it all the way to the finals.
According to the report issued Monday, Palin, not surprisingly, discussed President Obama by name 786 times on FNC over the run of her contract; she mentioned her favorite former president Ronald Reagan 41 times and Abraham Lincoln three times, the report said. She mentioned God 57 times.
And, under no detail too small: the report says that over the course of that contract, Palin said hell seven times on FNC, damn twice and amen 111 times.
