Addressing the influence of Christian voters, Sarah Palin argued that the mainstream media ignores and distorts the voting bloc. Appearing on Greta Van Susterens show, Palin argued that the Evangelicals, and Christians in general, are a diverse group of voters, contrary to how she felt they are portrayed.

Palin pointed to the Democratic National Convention, when the reigning political party tried to boot God out of their written platform. That played a role in riling up some faith-based voters, she asserted.

Its very inclusive and quite tolerant as opposed to what the mainstream media wants people to believe about the Christian voting bloc, Palin said. They want to pretend the voting bloc isnt there, she added.

Palin further criticized President Obamas policies that violate the religious conscience, referring to the health care law.

The mainstream media wants to people to believe the voting bloc of Evangelicals are a bunch of white voters who are bitterly clinging to their God and their constitution, Palin said! . But in reality, they are quite diverse.

Van Susteren then turned to Hispanic voters, asking whether the GOP has paid enough attention to them. The Hispanic population should certain feel welcome in the party, Palin replied, specifically noting that a large portion are pro-family and pro-life.

Again stressing her point about diversity, she said, the Republican party is a large tent.
