Man who harassed Palin's lawyers arrested in Pa.

SCRANTON, Pa. (AP) - A man convicted of harassing Sarah Palin's Alaska lawyers has been arrested in northeastern Pennsylvania on a probation violation charge.

The U.S. Marshals Service arrested 21-year-old Shawn Christy in McAdoo after a brief foot chase Wednesday morning. Authorities say he walked away from a community re-entry program in Scranton without approval, was verbally abusive toward staff, and damaged the facility.

Christy was sentenced in June to five years' probation after he and his father pleaded guilty to making harassing phone calls to Palin's attorneys. Shawn Christy was also ordered to spend up to six months at the Scranton Catholic Charity Center.

Prosecutors have said the Christys threatened both the former Alaska governor and 2008 vice presidential candidate and her attorneys.

A federal magistrate ordered Shawn Christy to be held pending extradition to Alaska.
