Sarah Palin weighed in on the Wisconsin recall election on Tuesday night, rejoicing in the Republican Scott Walkers keeping his governorship. Speaking with Greta Van Susteren, Palin lauded Walkers policies, without expressing an ounce of sympathy for Walkers opponent Tom Barrett.

Responsible austerity measures will help our nation, and the people are starting to recognize that, Palin said. The numbers dont lie, she said and Walkers reigning in the government has proved effective. Addressing the contentious topics of unions, Palin said, Maybe the union leadership there, those thugs who wanted to deceive their members into believing that government was the answer well perhaps its those union leaders that need to be recalled and replaced.

Palin also joined in on the punditry surrounding this recalls effect on the ballots cast come November. I think the Democrats there understand that the presidents no-show represents the fact that Obamas goose is cooked, she said. Obama and his ! message lost today, she said.

Later in the show, Van Susteren asked Palin if she has any sympathy for the defeated Barrett, as there was very passionate campaigning and losing is always disappointing. Palin (who lost an election four years ago) said she had not an ounce of sympathy for Barrett, going on to criticize his trying to fool the public by suggesting growing government is the answer.
