Some of former Alaska governor Sarah Palins political opponents enjoy pigeonholing her as a hot bimbo with no place in politics but other people of different parties say shes attractiveand smart.
Former Sen. Arlen Specter (D-PA), who raised some eyebrows when he left the Republican Party in 2009, holds such a view of the former vice presidential candidate. In an excerpt of his new book, Life Among the Cannibals, Specter mentions his first encounter with Palin, who had quite the personality:
Still, she was a total charmer, very friendly. The few things she said were intelligent. We were sitting virtually knee to knee in the cramped bus, and she radiated sensuality. Her skirt rode above her knees not exactly short, but close.
I doubt youve ever worn a skirt before, Senator, but this occurrence is quite common and in no way indicative that a skirt is borderline skimpy. Besides, she was on an overcrowded bus and still managed to radiate sexuality, which I find rather impressive, as I cannot sit on a bus without vomiting within ten minutes.
Believe it or not, Palin isnt the only person whose appearance is noted in Specters nonfiction work. He writes! of the way Sen. John Thune looked during workouts:
John Thune, who looked like a movie star in or out of clothes, was constantly stretching. His lanky body seemed to have some kinks to iron out.
We dont have our hands on the book, but hope the body descriptions are limited to these two passages.
