Palin Divorce #2 -- Sarah Palin's Sister-in-Law Pulls Plug on Marriage

Image
EXCLUSIVE Sarah Palin 's son isn't the only Palin filing for divorce ... Sarah's sister-in-law has pulled the trigger on her marriage too, TMZ has learned. Wendy Palin -- who's married to Todd Palin 's brother James -- filed the papers in Alaska this summer, citing an "incompatibility of temperament" that makes it impossible to live together. According to the docs, Wendy and James were married in 2000, separated in July 2012 ... and are currently living apart. They have one daughter who was born in 2002. Wendy is seeking sole legal custody and primary physical custody of the child -- but James has already filed a response, demanding joint custody. A hearing is set for January -- but until then Wendy has primary custody and James gets visitation ... as long as he lays off booze for 24 hours before seeing his daughter. Sarah Palin's Son on Divorce Track, But Must Watch Video First

Calling all single Alaskan ladies: It looks like Track Palin, Sarah Palin's son, is headed for divorce . Track and his soon-to-be ex-wife filed for divorce this week. The couple married in 2011 and they have a 1-year-old little girl named Kyla. Track, 23, is the oldest of Sarah Palin's children and is an Army Reservist, just so you know ladies. Perhaps more interesting than the news of Track's divorce is what it's revealed about Alaska's divorce laws , since that's where the papers were filed. The first interesting fact is that Alaska has a mechanism for couples to signify that they've figured out property and custody issues without the court's help. Track Palin and his wife Britta jointly filed their divorce papers, which tells the court they don't need legal help to resolve common divorce issues. They've apparently already settled things like child support, visitation schedules, and who-gets-what, reports TMZ. In general, courts encourage div

The 'Game Change' Sequel Will Attempt to Make a Horse Race of 2012 After All

John Heilemann and Mark Halperin are writing a followup to their 2008 bestseller Game Change , and while its title will piggyback off the name of the original Double Down: Game Change 2012 this sequel is unlikely to be as thrilling as Terminator 2 . Sarah Palin: Most Americans Dislike Capitalism Because They Confuse Crony Capitalism With Good Capitalism

Image
Sarah Palin appeared on Sean Hannity s show tonight to talk about the continuing fiscal cliff fight, as well as new poll numbers showing most Democrats view socialism and the federal government favorably, but far fewer of them view capitalism favorably than Republicans. Palin chalked this up to Americans having an understandably dim view of capitalism, given the state of the economy over the past few years, but said people are confusing crony capitalism for the way a good capitalist system should function. RELATED: Palin And Van Susteren Bash The Press Corps For Not Pushing Obama Admin On Libya Palin said capitalism has taken a hit because in the wake of the current economic crisis, people may no longer believe it is the best system. Bedbugs blamed for Palin stalker's disappearance from halfway house

Bedbug bites helped drive a 21-year-old McAdoo man from a halfway house where he had been ordered to stay for harassing former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, his father said Thursday. Shawn Christy walked out of the Scranton Catholic Charity Center on Nov. 20 because he received more than 300 bedbug bites, his father, Craig Christy, said when explaining the family's version of events that led U.S. Marshals to arrest their son Wednesday. "They just blew the story out of proportion," Craig Christy said. The U.S. Marshals Service said in a statement that Christy fled his home and possessed a knife when deputies ran him down Wednesday morning. Deputies found him after they received a lead from authorities in Alaska. The warrant issued for Christy said he abused a worker verbally and damaged property at the halfway house. His father agrees partly with the statement from the Marshal's Office and the description of events in the warrant: His son had a knife, which

U.S. Marshals arrest McAdoo man accused of harassing Sarah Palin

Shawn Christy, 21, of South Harrison Street, McAdoo, was taken into custody by members of the U.S. Marshals Service based in Scranton for allegedly violating a condition of federal parole. Christy was sentenced in federal court in Anchorage, Alaska, on June 8 to five years of probation for making harassing telephone calls to the law firm that represented Palin. He and his father, Craig Christy, were charged with making calls threatening Palin and her attorneys. Both Christys pleaded guilty to the charges. As a condition of the five years probation, U.S. District Court Judge Timothy M. Sarah Palin And The Greatest Turkey-Related Disaster In The History Of Politics (VIDEO)

For one day each year, the turkey gets its time to shine. While most of that shining is done quite literally, as the glazed centerpiece of Thanksgiving feasts around the nation, a few fortunate foul are granted pardons and given a chance to live out their not-so-long lives in greener pastures, awkwardly bobbing their heads, crying gobble-gobble and whatever else it is that turkeys do. Those symbolic pardons may make the turkey eaters among us feel somewhat better about stuffing our faces with coma-inducing amounts of gravy-smothered poultry, yet during one such event in 2008, then-Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) managed to tear the mask (or head?) off the whole charade. We'll call it the greatest turkey-related disaster in the history of politics. Fresh off a defeat in the 2008 presidential election, Palin headed to a turkey farm in her hometown of Wasilla, Alaska, to pard

Beyond Sarah Palin 2016... McCain/Palin 2028!

The only way to save the battered and directionless Republican Party is to have Sarah Palin run for president in 2016, according to the Los Angeles Times ' Charlotte Allen , who swears she's not joking. Mitt Romney got fewer votes than John McCain did four years ago, Allen writes, and he faltered because he was too focused on serious economic issues. A lot of voters don't care about serious issues. "What they a group sometimes euphemistically called ' uninformed voters ' do know and care about are the tugs on their emotions, fears, revulsions and heart strings provided by hours and hours of uninterrupted television watching," Allen writes. What these unserious voters need is an unserious candidate, she says. We agree, and we're one-upping her: What America needs is a ticket even more " Ellen -ready," to use Allen's term: Meghan McCain and Bristol Palin . The lawyer, Robert Barnett of Williams & Connolly, is known for negotiating book deals for the political elite, from President Barack Obama to one-time vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin. Mr Barnett will help Mr Petraeus as he exits government, according to Reuters news agency, which confirmed a Politico report. The Central Intelligence Agency, the Justice Department and Congress are investigating Mr Petraeus' conduct over the extra-marital affair with his biographer, Paula Broadwell. In that time, he has built an unconventional practice representing best-selling authors, political leaders, television news correspondents and other high-profile clients. In addition to Mr Obama and Mrs Palin, other authors he has represented include novelist Mary Higgins Clark and entertainer Barbra Streisand. Hey GOP, take the Palin cure

The Republican Party has been doing a lot of hand-wringing and finger-pointing since the presidential election. Half the conservative columnists and bloggers say the GOP lost because it overemphasized social issues such as abortion and gay marriage. The other half says the party didn't emphasize them enough. President Barack Obama, Sarah Palin, and Steve Jobs join Bartletts club

So much has changed since we last heard from Bartletts Familiar Quotations, a decade ago. Barack Obama was a state legislator. Sarah Palin was mayor of Wasilla. Steve Jobs had just introduced a portable music player called the iPod. And digital books were a relic from the dot-com bubble. The 18th edition of the venerable reference work has just been released, the first for the electronic age and a chance to take in some of the new faces, events and catchphrases of the past 10 years. General editor Geoffrey OBrien says he has expanded upon the trend set by his predecessor, Justin Kaplan, of incorporating popular culture into an anthology once known for classical citations. Shakespeare and the Bible still reign, but room also has been made for Madonna and Michael Moore, Justin Timberlake and Jon Stewart. I also added a great many quotes that originated in other languages. So I would say the new edition has a more international scope, says OBrien, an author and critic and editor in chief
