Sarah Palin pitching new reality show about husband Todd, report says

The former governor of Alaska is reportedly pitching a reality show to several networks about her husband Todd Palin and his adventures in snowmobile racing, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Palin and her family were once the subject of a reality series called "Sarah Palin's Alaska," which premiered in 2010 on TLC. The show followed the former vice presidential candidate's life and family in Wasilla, Alaska. Some of her adventures included hunting trips, Eskimo bingo, interacting with bears and a cross-over show camping trip Kate Gosselin of TLC's "Kate Plus 8" and her brood of kids.

In October Palin announced she was not going to run for President for the upcoming election in 2012. She is currently a contributor for Fox News.

According to the report, Palin is teaming up once again with television producer Mark Burnett, who originally produced "Sa! ra Palin 's Alaska." TLC and its parent company, Discovery Communications, passed on the proposed reality show. The Hollywood Reporter said A&E has turned it down as well, although a spokesperson for the network told ABC News that they were unaware of any pitch about the show.

One problem Palin is facing according to the industry paper's report is the high asking price per episode. Palin was previously paid around $1 million for each episode of "Sarah Palin's Alaska" and Palin and Burnett are reportedly seeking a similar asking price.

A Hollywood take on Palin will be seen on television in March 2012 when Julianne Moore makes her debut playing Palin in the HBO miniseries "Game Change."

The film will be based on the book of the same name by Mark Halperin and John Heilemann and will follow John McCain's 2008 presidential campaign from his choice of then Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as a running mate on the Republican ticket to their defeat in the general election.
