Sarah Palin uses video railing against consultants to raise money for consultants

Sarah Palin relaunched her political action committee on Thursday, the adorably-named SarahPAC, with a rousing video slamming the big consultants, the big money men, and the big bad media fueling our elections. But as John Alvon at the Daily Beast reports , Palin is using SarahPAC to raise a political war chest ahead of the 2014 elections money she will spend, handsomely, on conservative political consultants. Alvon went through SarahPACs Federal Election Commission filings; his findings may surprise you. (Or not. It is Sarah Palin were talking about, after all): Seen through the lens of the invaluable Center for Responsive Politics, Palins PAC spent $5.1 million in the last election cycle (more than it raised in that time period, raising some questions about Palins claims of fiscal responsibility). But the real news comes when you look at how donors money was actually doled out : just $298,500 to candidates. The bulk of the rest of it, more than $4.8 million, went to you guessed it

'Mama Grizzly' Sarah Palin roars 'we haven't yet begun to fight!'

Washington, Mar. 29 ( ANI ): Former Alaska governor Sarah Palin has released a fiery ad, making it clear she intends to be involved in the selection of Republican and Tea Party candidates in Congressional and Senate contests across the country. The two-minute ad, titled 'Loaded for Bear', emphasizes Palin's recent appearance at this month's CPAC , an annual gathering of conservative activists, and her connection to freshman Senator Ted Cruz, a Tea Party favorite. According to the New York Daily News, the ad opens with Palin taking the stage at CPAC and a video and news clips flaunting Palin's continued stardom. The ad is sponsored by Palin's political action committee, SarahPAC. In the ad, Palin says, as graphic points out the 35 Senate races and 36 gubernatorial races in the U.S. in 2014, that the next election is 20 months away. The last thing we need is Washington, D.C. vetting our candidates. The ad, replete with dramatic music and motivational vignettes o

Sarah Palin brings the "Mama Grizzly" metaphor back in a new ad from her political action committee. Fresh off the success of her well-received CPAC speech earlier this month, Sarah Palin's political action committee, SarahPAC , has released a new ad extolling the former governor's virtues as an advocate for conservative candidates in 2014. The two-and-a-half minute ad, released Wednesday and titled "Loaded for Bear," intersperses clips of Palin's speech with media clips praising her ability to galvanize support for Republican candidates and energize the party base. "She is a superstar," one news anchor says. The ad ends with a reminder that 35 Senate races and 36 gubernatorial races are up for grabs in 2014. A bear stands up and roars against the backdrop of a night sky, as the words "We haven't yet begun to fight!" flash across the screen. sarah palin If anyone was wondering if Sarah Palin is going to weigh in on the 2014 midterm elections, that question was answered today with a resounding yes. In a video released Wednesday by Sarah Palin's political action committee, SarahPAC, she revved up conservatives and tea party Republicans for 2014 with snippets of her Conservative Political Action Conference speech from earlier this month as well as media coverage praising the speech and her string of successful past endorsements. Titled "Loaded for Bear," the video begins with the praise from the mainstream media she is always quick to criticize as the "lamestream media." Sarah Palin attended Suns game in Chick-fil-A shirt

Former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin attended a Phoenix Suns game at US Airways Center last week, and she took the public appearance as an opportunity to show her support for Chick-fil-A. The New York Daily News reported that while at the game, Palin was seen wearing a red shirt with the chain's logo on it. The shirt was yet another example of Palin's support for Chick-fil-A CEO Dan Cathy, who made headlines in July 2012 after expressing his opposition of same-sex marriage. "I'm speaking up for him and his First Amendment rights and anybody else who would wish to express their not-anti-gay-people sentiment but their support of traditional marriage, which President Obama and Joe Biden, they both supported the exact same thing until just a few months ago, when Obama had to flip-flop to shore up the homosexual voter base," Palin told Fox News. ALEXANDRA PETRI: Sarah Palin is out to SAVE Christmas!

Commenting on anything Sarah Palin does is like socking a punching bag that has been slowly deflating since 2008, but I can't help myself. Palin has announced she is coming out with a Christmas book. Well, more specifically, a book about the War on Christmas. This is the moment that most I feared when I gave her up cold turkey months ago. My sponsor is going to have some stern words for me. Still Titled "A Happy Holiday IS a Merry Christmas," this book seems destined to go the same route as most books with CAPITAL LETTERS in their TITLES for EMPHASIS. As the Associated Press reports: "Amidst the fragility of this politically correct era, it is imperative that we stand up for our beliefs before the element of faith in a glorious and traditional holiday like Christmas is marginalized and ignored," Palin said in a statement released through her publisher. "This will be a fun, festive, thought provoking book, which will encourage all to see what is possible whe

[VIDEO] Tina Fey dusts off the ol' Sarah Palin impression

James Lipton asked Tina Fey to reprise her famous Sarah Palin impression for "Inside the Actors Studio." Because no one will ever get tired of it, Tina Fey brought back her winking, tight-lipped impersonation of the former Alaska governor during her appearance this week on Bravo's "Inside the Actors Studio." Since we haven't seen Fey's version of Palin in a while, James Lipton gave her the chance to weigh in on some important issues of the day, from gay marriage, "The Bible says it's gross" to her title, "You could call me a maverick-at-large." Fey won an Emmy for her take on Palin during "SNL's" 2008 season. For old times' sake, here's the classic:

Tina Fey revives Sarah Palin impression with James Lipton on 'Inside the Actor's Studio' (Video)

Tina Feys most famous impression is arguably that of former Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin. Throughout the 2008 campaign, Fey made audiences crack up with her striking resemblance and uncanny ability to portray the former Alaskan governor. So when Fey appeared on Inside the Actors Studio , she was asked to revisit the impression by answering some questions in character. When James Lipton asked about gun control, she answered If everybody had guns, there would be fewer guns in the stores, EW reports. He asked about same-sex marriage and Fey said in her best Palin voice, well, the Bible says its gross. And I don't judge it - a lot of the amazing wonderful people I met in the audience at Dancing with the Stars seem to go that way." She added, "Marriage is meant for people who wear different kinds of swimsuits." Mashable reports that the first time Fey did her Palin impression was in 2008 opposite Amy Poehler, who played Hillary Clinton on SNL .

Tina Fey brings back Sarah Palin impersonation on 'Inside the Actors Studio'

By Natalie Finn, E! Online Before Tina Fey could reveal her favorite swear word or what she hopes God says to her when she arrives at the pearly gates, James Lipton had a special request. "Would you allow me to interview Sarah Palin, please?" the "Inside the Actors Studio" host asked during their sit-down for the Bravo series, hoping to draw out Fey's famed impression of the former governor of Alaska, whom she mined for comedic gold during the 2008 presidential election. "We can try," Fey -- still herself -- agreed, taking a sip of water. Even Fox News couldn't tell the difference once! Asked what the right term of address would be since she only served a partial term as governor, Fey-as-Palin replied with those familiar inflections, "Well, I'll tell ya, I don't know. I'm a half-governor, or you can call me a maverick-at-large." Talking about her proclivity for hunting, she said, "Ya know, Jimmy, I believe that if everybo

What Does Sarah Palin Do?

What does Sarah Palin do? Quite a lot, according to Twitter, which was flooded by the hashtag #SarahPalinDoes on Tuesday as members of the social network pondered myriad uses for the former Republican vice-presidential candidate. The trend started when US commentator Tucker Carlson went on TV and had the temerity to question Mama Grizzlys utility, saying: Im not clear what Sarah Palin does, actually. Twitter was quick to provide the answer, as favourableand mostly not so favourable answers besieged the network. Even Palin herself got in on the act (or at least the person who runs her account did).

Sarah Palin and Karl Rove: Not friends. A long-simmering and highly entertaining feud between the world's worst investor , Karl Rove, and the world's worst vice-presidential candidate, Sarah Palin, flared up once again at CPAC over the weekend. How did this grudge begin, and what were its most hilarious moments? We're glad you asked. September 1, 2008: Rove, a Republican ostensibly trying to help the Republicans win the presidential race, suggested that the selection of Palin as John McCain's running mate was " not a governing decision but a campaign decision. " September 19, 2008: Rove reiterated the point by telling the AP that Palin was a " political pick " and was not the most qualified candidate for the job. September 24, 2008: Asked whether Palin would make a good president, Rove responded, " I don't know ." It is becoming clear that Rove is not really a Palin fan. She is getting the most speaking time at CPAC when she takes the stage Saturday at the Gaylord National hotel in Maryland, and her speech is among the most anticipated." "But as a force within the party, Palin has gone from sixty to zero within the span of a single presidential cycle."

Sarah Palin to write a book on Christmas

HarperCollins has said that the book will advocate "reserving Jesus Christ in Christmas, whether in public displays, school concerts (or) pageants". The book will contain Mrs Palin's "personal memories and traditions from her own Christmases and illustrate the reasons why the celebration of Jesus Christ's nativity is the centrepiece of her faith". The deal was negotiated by Mrs Palin's attorney Robert Barnett, who also secured deals for her previous two books. The financial details of the deal were not disclosed. The book is the third of Mrs Palin's to be published by HarperCollins, after "Going Rogue" and "America by Heart". "Going Rogue", Mrs Palin's political and personal memoir, became a Times bestseller within a week of release. Although criticised for prioritising her personal life at the expense of policy, the book exceeded sales estimates, selling over a million copies in just two weeks. "America by Hear
