Letter to the editor: Sarah Palin was great on 'Saturday Night Live'
Recently, Mr. Dick Hollars demanded respect for Sarah Palin, calling her brilliant in a letter to this forum.
Palin was asked a simple question from a reporter, What do you read? She couldnt name one item she read. Dont they have libraries in Alaska?
After quitting her job as governor, she went on a book signing tour and starred in her own reality TV show. Gotta fix the countrys problems any way you can, you know.
In the early days of the current election campaign, Palin jumped right in briefly. After stating, What makes this nation great is its belief in God, family, and country. Since God comes first I need to focus on serving him, she dropped out. Seems quitting comes natural to her.
An AP reporter asked her Well, cant you serve God and country at the same time? I cant recall her response, but Im sure it was brilliant!
Soon after the same God told Michelle Bachmann to get in the race. Not to be outdone, Herman Cain left the campaign trail, fixated on spending quality time with his own family.
Ever notice how the godless Chinese just keep truckin right along, putting country first, country second and country third?
The contempt for Palin even crosses party lines. Her own partys vice president Dick Cheneys comment, She was a big mistake, rivaled what the Republican base had long thought.
Hey, at least she never tied the family dog to the top of her SUV and went on a 12-hour road trip! A moose, maybe.
I have to admit though, the Weekend Update skit she did for SNL, was brilliant! Gotcha.
