Sarah Palin Claims Federal Government is 'Stockpiling Bullets' for 'Civil Unrest'

Former half-term Alaska Governor Sarah Palin recently wrote on her Facebook page that the federal government is stockpiling bullets for civil unrest, but provided no proof of her claim. Palin wrote about the sequestration deal on her Facebook page: If we are going to wet our proverbial pants over 0.3% in annual spending cuts when were running up trillion dollar annual deficits, then were done. Put a fork in us. Were finished. Were going to default eventually and thats why the feds are stockpiling bullets in case of civil unrest. Palin did not mention that the DHS explained more than once that their purchase of bullets was for law enforcement, as it always has been in the past, reports FoxNews.com . Palin also claimed: The President has already hit American families and small business owners with his tax increases, or more revenue as he likes to call it. In reality, President Obama did not hit American families or small business owners with a tax increase, but allowed the Bush tax cuts

Palin says feds are stockpiling bullets

| | The 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin, a crack shot whose public remarks demonstrate an accuracy problem, is claiming that the federal government is stockpiling bullets should civil unrest arise out of a default on the national debt. Sarah Palin: "The feds are stockpiling bullets in case of civil unrest." The former half-term Alaska governor made the assertion on her Facebook page Tuesday but provided no supporting evidence or attribution. Discussing the automatic budget cuts set to take effect Friday 9 percent in domestic spending, 12 percent in Defense she asserts: If we are going to wet our proverbial pants over 0.3 percent in annual spending cuts when were running up trillion dollar annual deficits, then were done. Put a fork in us. Were finished. Were going to default eventually and thats why the feds are stockpiling bullets in case of civil unrest. Palin takes President Obama to task for running around denouncing the budget sequestrations. She

Is The Federal Government Stockpiling Bullets? Behind Sarah Palin's Ammunition Claim

On Tuesday, Palin wrote a lengthy post about the debate over the so-called "sequester" that is currently gripping Washington, D.C. She argued that the outcome ultimately will have little impact on whether the nation is able to get "our fiscal house in o

Reviewing Palin's days as Alaska's governor

Whether that matters a lot circa 2013 is open to question. Palin, born in 1964, is certainly young enough to seek national office again. Whether she will is uncertain. But even if Palin's turn in the political spotlight has ended, the dichotomy she embodied during 2008 is instructive in so many ways that it is difficult to quantify. During Palin's rise to prominence in Alaska, including her governorship, Matthew Zencey was observing her and writing about her for the Anchorage Daily News. Zencey joined The Philadelphia Inquirer in 2010 (he now works as a freelance editor and writer), but he was not finished writing about Palin. Hence the book Unlikely Liberal . For seekers of truth, Unlikely Liberal is a powerful book. First, however, a warning about what it is not, straight from Zencey: "You'll have to look elsewhere if you care about Bristol's pregnancy, the feud with Levi, Trig's birth, the state of Palin's marriage to Todd, her career in high school bas

O'Neill: Not a lot to savor in GOP 'savior' Rubio

By JOE O'NEILL | South Shore News Published: February 26, 2013 Updated: February 26, 2013 - 12:58 PM Sarah Palin. Michael Steele. Marco Rubio. They all have something in common besides being captivating Republican Party sales agents. They all had perfect political timing. But destiny-beckoning can also be an ironic, double-edged sword. Recall John McCain's Hail Mary choice of Palin as his improbably unqualified running mate in 2008. It had everything to do with the embattled McCain campaign's need for a "game-changer." Right-place, right-time Palin's key credential: those legions of ostensibly disaffected and disillusioned women voters who wanted Hillary Clinton to make history. Why not take advantage of the Obama-Clinton breach, one that was palpable during the primaries? Why not try to siphon off a lot of those female votes, especially those women who weren't card-carrying lefties? Why not hope that the experience-knowledge-and-temperament-challenged P

But none of those meanings would seem to apply to Sarah Palin, who during 2008 rocketed to renown as the Republican Party vice presidential candidate. Palin and presidential candidate John McCain positioned themselves as "conservatives," which carried the connotation of "anti-liberal." Well, it turns out that the Sarah Palin who potential voters saw and heard during the 2008 campaign barely resembled the Sarah Palin who had served as a small-town Alaska mayor and then as the state's governor. Why Maria Hutchings is the Tories' Sarah Palin - and that's not a good thing

24 Feb 2013 16:52 The Conservative candidate in the Eastleigh by-election won't woo the middle ground Let's be clear. MariaHutchings, Conservative candidate for Eastleigh , is not the Tory party's Sarah Palin. I know this because she told me so. "I'm the Tory party's MariaHutchings," she says assertively. I'm not convinced. Right wing American governor Sarah Palin is famous for plain speaking. MariaHutchingsalso doesn't like to pull her punches. Or if she does, it's when she's pulling them into the midriff of vulnerable asylum seekers: "I don't care about refugees," she once said. Sarah Palin styles herself a "hockey mom".Hutchingsis a "cardio-respiratory surgeon's mum" - or she'd like to be. Palin in conservative spotlight next month

Monday, February 18, 2013 - 5:25pm WASHINGTON (CNN) WASHINGTON (CNN) -- One year after giving the keynote address at the annual Conservative Political Action Conference, Sarah Palin will be back to speak again. The American Conservative Union, which runs CPAC, one of the oldest and largest yearly gatherings of conservative leaders and activists from across the country, announced Monday that the former Alaska governor and 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee, who recently parted ways as a paid on-air analyst for Fox News, will address the conference. "We are pleased to again welcome Governor Sarah Palin to CPAC in March," said ACU Chairman Al Cardenas. "Governor Palin electrified the crowd in 2012 and we are thrilled to welcome her back this year." CPAC is considered a popular cattle call for Republicans considering bids for the White House. Sarah Palin mocks 'lamestream' Washington Post report on purportedly joining Al Jazeera

Washington Post corrects story reporting Sarah Palin was joining Al Jazeera

In this Aug. 29, 2008 file photo, Republican presidential candidate Sen. John McCain, left, smiles as his choice for his vice presidential running mate, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, pumps her fist as she is introduced to supporters at a campaign rally in Dayton, Ohio. The Washington Post on Tuesday issued a correction to a piece that incorrectly claimed Sarah Palin was joining the pan-arab news network Al Jazeera. In the piece, published Tuesday morning, Suzi Parker quoted The Daily Currant, a satirical news site, on Palin's move: As you all know, Im not a big fan of newspapers, journalists, news anchors and the liberal media in general, Palin told the Web site The Daily Currant. But I met with the folks at Al-Jazeera and they told me they reach millions of devoutly religious people who dont watch CBS or CNN. That tells me they dont have a liberal bias. Sarah Palin jabs Washington Post over fake Al Jazeera story

LOS ANGELES (TheWrap.com) - Sarah Palin , ever-eager to skewer the "lamestream media," took Washington Post blogger Suzi Parker to task Tuesday after the writer mistakenly claimed the former Alaska governor was hired by the TV network Al Jazeera America. Parker, who writes for the She The People blog, cited the satirical news site the Daily Currant in a story that claimed Palin had joined the Qatari-owned network as a talking head. ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) - Former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin is attending the memorial service at Cowboys Stadium for the slain former Navy SEAL Chris Kyle. She is among thousands of people attending the service for the 38-year-old Kyle, who authorities say was fatally shot at a North Texas shooting range Feb. 2 by a former Marine he was trying to help. Palin says in a Facebook post that she's attending the service with her husband Todd Palin. "God bless this great warrior," she says in her post. She expresses disappointment not to see U.S. flags flying at half-staff for Kyle. Palin says she also will be attending Kyle's funeral Tuesday. Less than two weeks ago, an Iranian court sentenced Saeed Abedini to eight years in prison for his religious beliefs after a brief trial that he was not allowed to attend, according to White House Press Secretary Jay Carney . Not a whole lot, say tea party movement activists. The media has done a super job of creating many myths. Shes one of them, said Everett Hamilton, of the Tea Party Patriots of Central Pennsylvania. I like what she stood for but the media you have stories to do...it got to a point where they become a farce. Doesnt make a difference if its conservative media or mainstream media.
